Do want to see Lambeth which has already one of the lowest number of libraries of all the London boroughs decommission five of its libraries? Do you think Lambeth Labour should be offering a post code lottery library provision? Great if you live in Clapham but too bad if you live in Waterloo, Herne Hill or Upper Norwood for instance. Do you feel our politicians aren't listening? What can we do? Join together with us on the library march on Saturday 5th March 10.30 from Windrush Square. Unite together with people of all political parties and none. Don't be a bystander if we lose our libraries we will never get them back. Friends of Lambeth Libraries and the head of Lambeth's own library service have come up with an alternative plan which delivers the savings the council wants to make but maintains a statutory provision of library services across all 10 of the libraries in Lambeth including Upper Norwood library. There is an alternative we just need you to help us persuade Lambeth Council to do the right thing. Come as a famous literary character, bring banners, bring musical instruments bring friends. Libraries are held on trust for us all our children to our pensioners. Mr and Mrs Decent have had enough. Closing Libraries is wrong. See you on Saturday.
