Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

First and foremost we would like to thank all of those who supported our group and its mission. That being said, we have been a Professional group of men and women throughout this entire time and will remain as such. Although we did not receive direct support from the ems unions which upset many, we did have a positive relationship with them. Especially 2507, President Barzilay and VP Greco both stated in open forum that they agree we should have the opportunity. We thank them for that. Moving forward the bill will be voted on 9/28. As stated “ A member who has not reached their 29th birthday by December 31, 2019 and was appointed by December 31, 2020 will qualify to take the next promotional exam to Firefighter.” Filing will open 11/1/2023. We did an amazing thing over the course of a year and half and we commend everyone for their support during this. Once we receive the final vote you will be notified.
