17,000 of you in two weeks - and my MSP is now on board

I wanted to start by saying thank you. Two weeks ago I started this petition because I was tired of standing at bus stops trying to work out whether the bus coming towards me was mine.
Today, more than 17,000 of you have signed. I honestly didn’t expect that, and it means so much.
Your support is already making a difference.
Today I met with my MSP to talk about the campaign, and she has agreed to contact Transport Scotland about my proposal for audio announcements at bus stops. It feels like a really positive step towards getting a pilot scheme up and running at some of Scotland’s busiest stops.
I’ve also secured a meeting with RNIB Scotland, including their Director, to talk about how we can push this forward together.
None of this would be happening without you. Every signature shows decision-makers that this matters, and that blind and visually impaired people shouldn’t have to rely on strangers just to catch a bus.
That’s why I’m asking for one more favour. Could you share the petition with a few friends or family members today? A quick message on WhatsApp or a post on Facebook or X takes seconds and could help us reach thousands more people.
