We have not lost sight of this very real goal of renaming our county to better reflect our collective values and to honor indigenous sovereignty.

Covid-19 and the Holiday Farm Fire may have slowed down our progress, but we wanted to update all of you who helped raise visibility with these efforts to let you know there are a few things in the works with a bit of an unofficial coalition of multiple efforts forming. Some we can't share the full details of yet, but one we can!  Establishing Kalapuya County is the latest effort in "reshaping the public view of this place to put it into an Indigenous context".

Please visit the link above and consider sharing materials from the new campaign (like the sign shown here). There is an additional petition, and we will be combining our signatures with theirs to further bolster shared efforts.
