Protect StreetArt in Berlin - it´s not for sale.
Das Problem
One of Berlin´s iconic landmarks is under threat of being removed - Blu´s iconic piece in Kreuzberg. Ironically, an investor from the cash-rich city of Munich wants to build a luxury-residential building.
The motive is a statement for change of the once divided-city, it has become a symbol for StreetArt. This iconic piece marks the cultural identity of the neighborhood - Kreuzberg.
Berlin advertises with it´s alternative scene, more specifically: the added value created by artists - and strips it away simultaneously. It´s the sell-out to investors seeking to make a quick profit on the value created by those artists and residents in several decades.
We need your help. Now. We need to protect our cultural identity. We demand patrimony for Blu´s work. I am asking you because I want to show how famous this piece is around the world to those who are ignorant to think it is merely a "graffiti".
If you agree then please sign this petition now.
