It's official, the City of Lakewood has installed a pedestrian warning device at the intersection of Bloomfield and Lemming. This includes two, two-way solar-powered amber flashing signals that activate based on motion of a pedestrian or the push of a button. These systems have also been installed in other parts of Lakewood that have been observed as dangerous intersections as a result of our efforts. This will absolutely help to prevent another tragedy from happening here, after several people have lost their lives. Although it is very unfortunate that people have been killed here already, the attention we have brought to the City, Public Safety Department, the Media, and the Sheriff's Department will prevent more lives from being lost.
