Additional details and evidence to the Council and relevant authorities

This is a Beautiful majestic hillfort in the heart of the country with a spectacular position & it is already a Grade 1 listed ancient monument site. The Site & surrounding land is also by a remarkable and unique geological land feature, the Pennine Hills & Ridgeway & ancient flood plains.

This easily Qualifies the Site & surrounding area to be made into an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Site Should have the same respect & protection as Cissbury & Chanctonbury ring hillforts, Old Oswestry Hillfort & maiden Castle.

We call for the Citizens of Britain, Ireland & Scotland & Commonwealth to sign & help us Achieve 15633 signatures. (5% equal to match the local electorate) as published by Jacqui Gedman having effect from 15th February 2022 (1st April 2022 to 32st March 2023) All UK & Commonwealth Citizens who Have the "Right to Petition" HM Governments, we ask to please trigger the Local Referendum for us. So that the local Electorate can vote on the matter by Referendum for a "New Form of Governance" over the Ancient Site & surrounding land.

We propose options on the Referendum for 1. Type of protection 2. The Size of area (to be covered by the new form of governing protection) and what that type of new governance will be. For example, Making a 1 mile, 4 mile, 6 mile radius or shaped area into an "area of outstanding natural Beauty" for which it qualifies for, or upgrading the current protection listing, enhancing the Greenbelt or having the council agree to a contract of "No Further developments" on or near the site.

There are also several matters that can be discussed concerning the History of the site & circumstances leading up to the Victoria Jubilee tower being built, in the times of Sir John William Ramsden (Liberal) who was opposed to it. & also an issue of the Building of Housing on top of the Nearby site "Warriors Tomb" Now Known as "Woodedge avenue" / Windsor drive. & This other suspected Sister Hillfort is 3.5KM away. And also there is "Dun Elm" (Cop Hill) as well on the Pennine geological Ridgeway at Meltham a 3rd suspected collaborating site. This does indicate the area had a similar set up to Cissbury & Chanctonbury Ring Hillforts At Worthing, which are 4Km apart also on the South Coast & Supplied Flint to Prehistoric Britain. With the flood plains it would also share comparable similarities & connection to Old Oswestry. also in shape & form of "Warrior burial" at Waterloo.

We Propose that Similar to the dual operating Hillforts at Worthing, There was a collaboration of 3 operating bases at Huddersfield in Ancient Britain. Warriors Tomb, Cambodunum (Castle Hill) and Dun Elm (Cop Hill) A Reservoir was built in close proximity to Dun Elm which has obstructed full Archaeological investigation on the site and Due to Housing being built at Windsor Drive / Woodedge Avenue we may never get a complete true archaeological survey. Therefore it is Critical that the Cambodunum (Farnley Tyas) Castle Hill site is fully protected for the Long term under a new form of governing protection order. And "Area of outstanding Natural Beauty" would be very deserving of this. We even are proposing the same measures to be pursued by the Council for British Archaeology (Archaeology UK) in respect to Old Oswestry Hillfort in Shropshire, Where the CBA are opposing Housing Developments near that site again. (Previously 8,000 Signatures were gathered to oppose housing developments)

If we achieve the 15633 signatures, and if the local electorate vote in favour to protect the site & countryside, we believe that the "peoples vote" which is above the Local Council Chamber & Ministers.. would automatically be the deciding power also above Natural England & the National Trust. Because Referendum is above Government Body or other Organisations decision making level.

There are also some "Historic" Controversial matters surrounding the prestige, symbolic meaning & National image of the History of the area concerning this site. It is worth noting that after the "Varley" excavations started on the hillfort, a World War broke out. and After the Excavations were finally completed in the mid 1970's this is when the mysterious occurrence of the Housing estate development at Windsor Drive/Woodedge Avenue happened, which we believe has "Covered up" the sister Hillfort. Housing crept up and filled the area. (when places like Dorchester chose to protect their sites in highest regard) I have done several Talks on video about circumstances around the Sir John William Ramsden period of the Victoria Tower. (liberals vs tory's) i  will be attaching that evidence to the petition as we progress. but there are many other important matters that I will go into... Other Stone Circles & Cairns, Long Barrows around the islands and their function & purpose - sharing connection to our area. There could also be a case for there once have being "Cairns" along the top of the Pennine Ridgeway over Holmfirth & Meltham, similar to those found in the Wicklow Hills south of Dublin...  I believe that the area has that feel to it. Although we will likely never know. We might be able to find out with assistance from experts such as Dr. Gail Higginbottom & Howard Crowhirst.

What we do have, is an outstanding Hillfort and in countryside for certain that cannot allow any further building or development here, or we will be at a loss of unique history and natural beauty. We have lost so much already & cannot allow anymore loss.

Please sign to help achieve the 15633 signatures. So we can override Kirklees Council with a Referendum to create this new form of governance over the area.
