Facebook ads is NOT going to be affordable to Promote petitions & its really Unfair.
I thought I would promote the Petition on Facebook ads. They made it look like, if you pay £200 you will reach 30,000 to 90,000 people.
This was not the case. And in fact its worse than that. You actually don't pay that amount. You in fact pay when someone clicks the link. and you are charged 50p each time, they might not even sign. The worst thing is that we are forced to get a New Passport that's £75 even to run ads on there. To prove ID. Even when Birth Certificate is meant to be accepted by law for residency proof.
If we are being paid who clicks on the link each time (Therefore who is permitted to sign the petition) we are being financially hindered for how many signatures we can get. Not being allowed to show the petition actually to as many people who can sign freely. It is a very bad unfair way to cap how many people can sign. Because Rich People with money can then afford to get signatures over people with less money.
It not a Fair "Show people it" and whoever wants to support it, can sign" sort of system.
This is the unfortunate new world order. Also Facebook is restricting peoples accounts when they ask too many people the regular method in Facebook groups. We are supposed to be able to tag 50 people per reply. But if you do a few of those a day, you get called for spam. When we have a legal right to ask people. Also through Messenger & its not Clear exactly how many Messenger messages you can send as it changes.. Its reported as 150 a day but I sent 85 and got restricted. So its unclear.
I think Former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, Facebook president needs to do better really. And Uphold peoples Rights & make the Rights & limits more transparent & clear.
Its actually going to be easier to do it for free rather than with paid for ads. I obtained 3,000 signatures before so getting 15,000 is only 5x that. In fact if I had not stopped at 3,000 last time, I would have had the 15,000 by now.

A Complaint to Facebook Ads
Hi, I was under the Impression I was paying a set price of £200 To have my ad RUN for 24 hours. and it could reach 30,000 to 90,000 people.
It turned out I have been charged £40 instead, not £200 and I am actually being charged for whoever clicks my link
So as I am doing a petition, you are charging me 50p everytime someone MIGHT sign my petition.... So literally on that budget it would be impossible to get 30,000 to 90,000 signatures because I wouldnt be able to afford it. As Im in fact not being charged £200 fixed rate.. to get my petition to as many of those people as possible.
Basically You are in fact charging me for whoever will go & sign the petition.
I think that is wrong for petitions. I don't think we should be charged & limited on how many signatures we can get. As Money limits it.
It not actually really just paying for the Advert itself. Its paying for whoever goes to sign it.
If this is business & sales It would be OK. But its non Profit. Petitions are charitable/non profit.
I want to raise A Complaint To Facebook Global President Nick Clegg, as He Is a Politician Within Facebook. He Was Deputy Prime Minister of England.
I would like this complaint forwarding to him please. Because I don't think its right. As this way we aren't just Asking people to sign a petition. We are being charged for who signs the petition or can access it.
I think its not lawful that way. As we are being capped on how successful the petition is by Money. Not actually paying you to promote it, we are being charged essentially when we get signature's.
It cant be right. Its a financial obstruction this way. Not fair promotion.
There needs to be a different fair setting for Petitions that are non profit. I think that as a liberal Nick Clegg would do more for Political Freedom.
