There are a whole host of reasons why someone is transgender and they're all legitimate. Transgender people existed since people have recorded themselves and they deserve to exist in peace and acceptance. The fact that someone who more often that not has biological reasons for being the way that they are gets targeted for being transgender is absolutely ignorant. Tucker Carlson and his fans believe that the body can have all kinds of differences and complexities, but sex is never in the everest of evers anything other than male or female. The body just doesn't deviate from that according to them. Those of us with a speck of sense know that conditions just as xxy, xyy chromosomes exist, being intersexed exists, Kleinfelter's Syndrome exists, our working knowledge on how hormones affect us is remarkably poor, brain structures can be different, there's also psychology involved. These people are not ill, they're different, they're uncommon, and they make some people feel things they're not equipped or prepared to feel which isn't their problem but sadly they face the sometimes fatal consequences of it. Wanting to eliminate transgender people is literally a page out of the Nazi playbook as the Nazis burned a library housing extensive work and research about sex and transgenderism. Tucker Carlson had demanded that his viewers go after hospitals that provide trans-affirming care to children causing Akron's Children Hospital and Boston's Children Hospital to evacuate fragile children and babies putting them at risk of death and serious injury. Bomb threats, staff being harassed including death threats poured in after Tucker Carlson called giving affirming medical care a crime. Those of us in Pennsylvania during the pandemic know very well the horrid treatment Dr. Rachel Levine got for seeing us through catastrophic times. Tucker Carlson has caused so much damage, including to our own community and Hershey Entertainment and Resorts wants to make it worse.
