We wanted to share the latest developments regarding our petition. Unfortunately, we've encountered aggressive comments advocating for a complete ban. However, we want to assure you that our focus remains on a proposal geared towards positive change.
As part of this initiative, we are in active communication with e-bike producers, such as Super 73 and Gtrax, to address safety and age regulations. These manufacturers play a pivotal role in shaping guidelines for models and age recommendations.
I'd like to take a moment to ask you a crucial question: Do you genuinely believe that all e-bikes and e-scooters should be banned, even for 15+ teens and adults? Proposing a permanent ban would impact various individuals, including workers, teachers, and those with disabilities. Is this the outcome you envision?
We believe in advocating for proper measures, control, regulations, and safety protocols. Instead of a blanket ban, our aim is to create an environment where everyone, regardless of age or circumstance, can use these modes of transportation safely.
Your input is invaluable to us. If you share our vision for a balanced approach to regulations, we'd greatly appreciate your continued support. Please keep sharing and advocating for a solution that befits the community as a whole.
Additionally, we've reached out to iBikeSafe.org and the University of Miami BikeSafe program to collaborate on evidence-based bicycle safety initiatives for children. Together, we aim to implement effective measures that prioritize the safety of our younger community members.
Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
Best regards,
