Red Onion State Prison Inmate Garth Daniel Richmond has recently filed a lawsuit against Correction Officer(s) T. Cox and A. Castle for abuse. The guards severely beat Richmond while he was in 5-point restraints resulting in the need for emergency knee surgery to repair damage to a fresh surgical site.

The lawsuit cites continual abuse at the hands of Red Onion Staff, blocked attempts to file internal grievances and abuse of power.

My son Jowell experienced similar situations leading up to his murder. VADOC was made aware of these issues by me personally once my son advised that his ability to file grievances and or obtain satisfactory resolution was impeded by Red Onion Staff and/or Supervisors.

This is why we need your support. These occurrences are not new and they are not a secret. Those in authority are well aware. Please continue to sign and share our petition so that my family and I can obtain the justice we seek in holding Red Onion State Prison and VADOC accountable for their atrocities.
