Our objective is by no means meant to absolve anyone of a crime, or to deny whether a crime has occurred. Our position is to raise awareness surrounding sentencing.

Fact: Similar words, reality, actuality, certainty

A fact is a thing that is known to be true. A piece of information used as evidence, part of a report, or news article.

     Opinion: Similar words, belief, judgement

An opinion is a view or judgement formed about something not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. An estimation of the quality of someone or something.

Court documentation is a matter of public record. This is accordance with the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, which specifies all government information and records are presumed public.

You have the right to inspect and copy most court records and documentation in the state of Virginia. VA Code 17.1-208 provides that right.

If you are interested in obtaining court records, the most efficient avenue is requesting in person from the clerk of the court where the case was heard. A request form may be required.

You may access docket information, the pleadings, motions of all parties, decisions and orders of the court, evidence introduced by either side, and the transcripts of the hearings.

This would be the best means of obtaining facts rather than the emotionally driven opinion of any biased contributor.

"Doing your homework" requires research.
