Friends,
I'm so grateful for the support you've shown for Kristopher Rodriguez in the past. I'm sorry to say that when his devoted mother, Gemma Pena, visited him last week, he was still mentally incoherent and suffering from great weight loss.
I hope that we can all make a difference together. I've printed below a sample letter that you can send to the prison Kristopher is at, asking the head of mental health care to intervene and get Kris the medication he needs, but which is currently being denied.
Thank you so much for your support for human rights!!

Dear Ms. Crawford,
I wish to appeal to you to do everything in your power to help Kristopher Rodriguez (C07499) regain his mental health. His very devoted mother, Gemma Pena, was last able to visit with him on December 10, 2014, and is deeply concerned by the incoherence and crying that he exhibited then, as well as by his very troubling weight loss.
It is deeply distressing to me to learn that some medications that might help him are not being covered by Corizon, a company whose history of substandard care, throughout Florida and other states, is itself of great concern. Surely, Kristopher has the right to adequate health care. Surely, there are covered medications that can help him, or a way for you to authorize those not currently covered, or to advocate to Corizon that they add them to its formulary.
Kristopher was successfully stabilized while in jail awaiting trial, so it can be done.
As things currently stand, what hope can there be for Kristopher when he is released from prison? And how can citizens such as myself feel when our tax dollars are not used to help those in prison with mental illness, thereby failing to equip them to lead safe, productive lives when they reenter society?
I know that your work as a medical professional is being undertaken in difficult circumstances. I simply and respectfully wish to ask your help for a man who may still have a promising future, and for his family. Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
