Dear Judo Family,

In an official statement, the International Judo Federation announced that Vladimir Putin and Arkady Rotenberg have been removed from all positions held in the International Judo Federation.

We would like to thank each and everyone of you for your engagement in supporting this petition, which was an important "brick" in the wall of resistance against the presence of war criminals in our beloved sport.

We will now keep monitoring upcoming steps from the IJF to make sure that all the doors remain closed. The reluctance to clearly mention the term of "Russian agression" in the official statement remains a significant issue. 

However, now is also the time to help Ukraine and its citizens. We believe the IJF has a great capacity to mobilize concrete assistance for this purpose.

Moving forward, the time will come to rebuild our sport from scratch, without any single individual involved in political abuse and military agression.
