Petition updateWhere are the 69 “Rescued” Rabbits?Update on Cease & Desist from Charleston Animal Society

Aug 22, 2016
A legitimate Freedom of Information Act request was sent out to Charleston Animal Society to find out the status and well being of 69-70 confiscated rabbits that were sent to 3 undisclosed farms instead of to adoptive families as promised in the News media by the shelter. Charleston Animal Society Denied the request and instead sent a Cease and Desist/ threatening a law suit by their Attorney.

The rabbits were turned over to a non credible predator owner named Jason Hoffman, according to the "trusted" partner's Facebook page, he gave them to his friends on 3 farms.
To date, there have been no updates given on the welfare of the rabbits, or photos of the rabbits as promised to the House Rabbit Society President by the director of Halifax Shelter - Miguel Abi-hassan.
Halifax Humane Society also denied the FOIA in Florida which is referenced and required by law. Rabbit advocates continue to work legally to find the status and well being of the confiscated rabbits. Updates will follow.
Thank you for your continued support.
For The Rabbits,
Linda Sue
