Dear supporters of restorative justice, Thank you very much for your signatures! We are getting close to 200. We would like to share two updates with you: First, here is a link to an op-ed written by some of our group members, that appeared in the South Bend Tribune today (the same article was featured in the ND-SMC Observer on Friday). Second, we would also like to inform you that we had a successful meeting with a representative of Senator Donnelly yesterday. During the conversation, the Senator himself stopped by to briefly greet us and shared that he heavily endorsed these bills. This is wonderful news and provides all the more reason for this petition to continue to gain support. There has been a stand-still at Congress with this legislation, therefore a loud enough voice may be what is needed to bring the bills back to the active attention of the decision makers.
