This proposal flies in the face of responsible decision-making

Shoalhaven Council's proposal to vandlaise protective vegetation at Collingwood Beach is irresponsible. It should be evident after the last few days of massive storms that this proposal will put many homes and community assets at risk to provide benefits in the short term to a small but influential minority. In 2013 consultants on sea level rise and coastal hazards advised Shoalhaven City Council- "There are public assets and private properties at Callala, Collingwood and Mollymook beaches which are either at immediate risk or potentially threatened within the next 50 years"
