Jerry Hogrefe: your new Chief of Police for the Town of Taos?

Heard really disturbing news that ex Sheriff Hogrefe is applying to be the new Chief of Police for the Town of Taos.  If he is appointed, this would introduce a new level of corruption into local law enforcement and put any cop that actually reports police infractions in danger, not to mention civilians.  I’m very worried and I think we all should be.  It’s also concerning that this seems to be happening with no announcement or news coverage.
