Puget Sound Clean Air Authority (PSCAA) staff member says "PSE is building at their own risk”. PSE has been constructing in violation of permit conditions for months. The Puyallup Tribe’s request for a Stop Work has been ignored by all agencies to date. PSE still needs the essential Notice of Construction (NOC) permit from PSCAA. Now PSE is asking PSCAA to forgive their permit violations and issue this final operational permit. PSCAA has held two informational meetings and citizens and tribal representatives came out in solidarity. PSCAA staff were unable to answer multiple questions on toxins, breach events, explosions, and other critical health and safety issues. We are urging PSCAA to answer our questions in writing and hold another informational meeting before the formal comment period and public hearing process begins. These dates have not been announced yet. We will be calling on you in the upcoming days to write letters to PSCAA to deny the NOC permit and stop this disastrous project.
