Puyallup Water Warriors & Redefine Tacoma

Oct 12, 2017
This week Indigenous People’s Day Celebrations brought people all over the country to Honor First Nations and their Call to Love, Protect and Restore our land and waters. We’ve all seen the news, both devastating and hopeful. More fires, more hurricanes, Orcas and Salmon in peril in the Salish Sea. At the same time, Scotland banned Fracking, another international bank pulled funding from all tar sands pipeline projects, solar farms are being built in the path of pipelines, and First Nations Youth on the way to speak in Paris and Geneva.
We are in perilous times and it is easy to become overwhelmed. Standing together for our planet and our children’s children gives us the courage and heart we need right now.
Hands Up and Thank you all for signing and sharing the Petition to Stand with the Puyallup Tribe and say No to LNG Fracked Gas in the Salish Sea. The next step is a meeting with Governor Inslee and State Attorney General Ferguson. We want the Governor, the State Attorney General, and all the permitting agencies to order a Stop Work Now! Let’s send 10,000 signatures and more so they know We Stand with the Tribe.
