A big THANK YOU to MummyPages.ie for removing greyhound racing from its website.
MummyPages - the website for mums in Ireland - had included information about greyhound racing but this was removed following an appeal which highlighted the cruelty and killing in greyhound racing, the injuries and deaths at tracks and the fact that national tourism bodies Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland have both stopped promoting greyhound racing due to fears that it damages Ireland's reputation as a tourist destination.
Thumbs up to MummyPages for its compassionate response. The popular site which contains a wealth of information can be found at https://www.mummypages.ie/
MummyPages is the latest in a growing list of those who have rejected greyhound racing, including Air France (which removed Irish greyhound racing from 44 of its international websites), Toyota Ireland, Opel Ireland, Heineken Ireland/Murphy's, Dublin Bus, Eir Sport, Tesco Ireland, Electric Ireland, Applegreen, Barry's Tea, Hyde Irish Whiskey, Galway Crystal, FBD Insurance, Botanica International, Voucher Cloud, Permanent TSB, Maldron Hotels, Clayton Hotels, North Star Hotel Dublin, Metropole Hotel Cork, Treacy's Hotel Waterford, Trip Indicator, In Your Pocket City Guides, Food For Thought (the official publication of the Restaurants Association of Ireland), Hertz, Galway Tourism, Tramore.ie, Dublin Convention Bureau, etc.
