Prohibited substances have been found in greyhounds at Kilkenny, Clonmel and Dundalk tracks.

The latest "Adverse Analytical Findings" published by the Irish Greyhound Board, show that prohibited substances were found in samples taken from dogs in November and February.

On 23 November 2018, prohibited substance Carprofen was detected in greyhound Sober Escape at Kilkenny track where he finished 4th in the “Carlow Kilkenny Homecare Fundraiser” race. He continued to be used in racing up until last month.

On 4th February 2019, Acetaminophen was found in Knockmill Girl at Clonmel track. She finished 6th in the “Greyhound Store A3/A4” race, with winnings of €350. She has not been raced since.

A few days later on 8th February, Ibuprofen showed up in greyhound Some Ginger at Dundalk stadium. She finished in 6th position after suffering a fall - https://youtu.be/WhQ6mEZYO6s?t=14 She has not been raced since.
