Everyone, please stay safe. I’m hearing heartbreaking stories of accidents and AAA refusing to come out in this weather. We pay for insurance and services every single day, yet when the crisis hits, the support vanishes.
Right now, we have elderly neighbors risking their lives trying to shovel out in the frigid cold. Where is the humanity? As a leader in this community, I look to the Soldier’s Creed: “I will never leave a fallen comrade.” Why are we failing our neighbors?
While those in power get pay raises, the rest of us inherit health struggles and hardship. I see so many people trying to dehumanize the vulnerable—blaming addiction, homelessness, or mental health struggles to justify doing nothing. No one wakes up choosing that life. Whether it’s an addiction to a phone, work, or a substance, we are all human. A "gateway" to these struggles is often just a failure of the system to support people when they reach out for help.
We are seeing a decline in our community care while the bank accounts of decision-makers flourish. It’s time to stop blaming the less fortunate and start holding the gatekeepers accountable.
I am leading a petition to demand better for our community. We already have massive support from Neptune, Tinton Falls, and Red Bank—let’s show the rest of the state that we won't leave anyone behind. They have indefinitely Suspended my account on Nextdoor they say I am Not a Real Person🤔
