We’ve had major developments in our #TennisForEveryone campaign with Australian comedian and disability sports advocate, Adam Hills, joining the movement. Tennis Australia and the US Tennis Association have also come on side, eager to get involved with promoting Adaptive Standing Tennis - what huge wins!

In the lead up to my meeting with Tennis Australia, can you help us get to 20,000 signatures by sharing the petition?

We have slowly and steadily gained international support from Tennis bodies. In fact, the International Tennis Federation is slowly opening up to the idea of sanctioning Para-Standing Tennis as a category of tennis. We are organising a Para Standing Tennis tournament in the middle of the Australian Open next year to demonstrate the viability and support for this form of tennis.

Can you help spread the good news by sharing the petition on social media?

Adam is an extraordinary advocate who has been doing a lot in the space of disability sports. He helped to form the UK's first disabled rugby league team and we’re so honored to have him join our movement. For those who don’t know, Adam was coached in tennis until he was 16. He played juniors at the Illawarra Tennis Association in Sydney but has always found competitive tennis restrictive because the choices have been between either wheelchair tennis or able-bodied tennis - it’s time to change this.

We hope to have lots of exciting updates in the coming months. This wouldn’t be possible without your support. Thanks for advocating for change and inclusivity!
