Time to make good on our demand.

There is every indication that Gov. Gary Johnson will not be in tonight's Commander-in-Chief Forum. IAVA is sticking to their guns While in at least one tweet they indicated we should redirect our ire at NBC and the campaigns. Their level of complicity is still high. They have made no formal announcement that they are pushing to include Gary in tonight's forum. Nor that NBC or the campaigns were resistant to them doing so. If they had some sympathy and assistance might have been warranted. As Nicholas Sarwark, Chair of the Libertarian Party stated, "Sure, IAVA can punt to NBC, but it's not going to be NBC that figures out how to continue without tax-exempt status." We did all we could to convince IAVA to do the right thing as the League of Women Voters did back in the 80's when they refused to cater to the major parties and networks. But they stand firm in their commitment to disenfranchising American voters. As such must follow through and demand that their 501(c)(3) exemption be revoked. The IRS form 13909 has already been submitted by multiple parties. I'm not sure if submission of more than one will have a positive or negative impact so I will not encourage or discourage doing so. https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f13909.pdf At this point we can only push for the electorate, media, and public officials to get the IRS to do the right thing. Be sure to stay active on social media. Especially twitter during both airings of the Commander-in-Chief forum. Again link to this petition. It could be a huge opportunity to gain support. Also know that the Libertarian Party is planning to hold IAVA accountable for being both in violation of their 501(c)(3) requirements and in violation of the Federal Elections Campaign Act https://twitter.com/nsarwark/status/773031512719536128 We're not done folks. This was not an empty threat. It was a declaration of intended action. Me must make sure we follow through. Thank you for your continued support and efforts.
