The Conservative Party manifesto states that they will make it easier for fathers to take paternity leave. Although there was no further detail about how this would be achieved we intend to make sure they do just as they say. The barriers currently preventing fathers from taking paternity leave are both financial and cultural. Fathers need to be paid a healthy percentage of their salary for a portion of their leave, just like mothers are. The leave also needs to be ring fenced so if they don't use the leave, the whole family loses it. We will be meeting with Politicians next year to ensure their manifesto commitment is not forgotten. Thank you for all your support.
