We’re making progress!!

We're making progress, and your support keeps us moving forward!

Here's what's happened so far:

I talked with Superintendent Doug Wheeler today, and he asked me to let everyone know that they ARE working on this. They have a meeting with the city next week specifically about the high school exit and what can be done in the short term.

He said this has been a conversation for several years. They reviewed videos of my accident and others, and he acknowledged the turn lane and difficulty seeing approaching traffic are recurring problems. Nothing has been decided yet, but he said the city is cooperating with them on finding a solution.

He also wanted me to mention that the “No Left Turn” signs at other exits are part of their ongoing work on traffic across campus.

The mayor replied too and said she’d encourage the city team to work with the district.

I appreciated the call. I told him a lot of us had no idea these conversations were happening. I also explained that I want the petition and everyone’s stories to HELP them get this addressed.
