There was an 87% increase in reported Child abuse cases in The Bahamas in 2023.

A few weeks ago, a man received just a 2 year sentence, per count, for unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl on multiple occasions. The maximum possible sentence was life imprisonment for each count.

We need mandatory minimum sentences for all violent and sexual crimes against Children.
