First, I want to thank everyone who has signed this petition. The support means a lot to me and proves that the American people are sick and tired of watching Trump wipe his butt with our constitution. I wanted to add that once I reach my goal, I'll be taking this petition to Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, both of whom have been on our side from the very beginning. 

I wanted to elaborate on why I'm going to be doggedly hounding this issue. I am an ARMY veteran, and I love this country and everything it is supposed to stand for. And when I stood up there and recited my oath, it was to uphold the Constitution, not swear fealty to a president. During my time in service, I experienced sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape by three male soldiers/NCOs, and it was truly a nightmare to try to shoulder that trauma while trying to be the best soldier I could be. Which brings me to now. We all know by now that Donald Trump sexually abused women, and with the release of the Epstein files (heavily redacted illegally as they may be), further proof has come to light that Trump's sexual misconduct extends to underage girls. It's disgusting, and had the Republicans in office any ounce of integrity or genuine care for the American people, Trump would have been impeached by now, along with his entire administration.  We are witnessing in real time the cover-up and protection of pedophiles in power, and it is quickly eroding the foundation of trust we had for our government. Do you remember when Clinton was impeached over having sexual relations with an intern? The mere fact that Trump was convicted of sexual assault should have automatically disqualified him from running for office. The fact that he is mentioned over and over in the Epstein Files should make every member of Congress vote YES to impeach him! Instead, we have seen the corruption bloom among the republican party. 

And now? It's time we take back our country. The government works for us. We pay their salaries, their bonuses, we vote them into power through democratic means (we are a democratic constitutional republic after all), and I will be damned if we sit by and let this corruption continue to fester and necrotise our country while sitting on my arse and waiting for the next election cycle! I am an angry veteran, and I have a LOT of time on my hands to pester our representatives.
