Petition updateEquality for all people with Type 1 DiabetesWe are giving Minister Harris just a Few Days to Reply to us

A MotherKildare, Ireland
13 Feb 2018
Frank O Rourke TD and Deputy Mary Butler raised our concerns about the reimbursement of the Freestyle Libre announcement for a few hundred children and Teens on multiple daily injections a week ago.
We have been in touch with our TD’s since then and we have been advised that We should give Minister Harris a few days to reply to us.
However If he hasn’t the decency to reply to us with a date by the end of this week 16th February 2018 then we will set a date ourselves to go to Leinster House and deliver our petition to our representative TD’s
Frank O Rourke, and Mary Butler also other TD’s who wish to join them.
Grainne Flynn, Liz Murphy & myself Davina Lyon will bring you updated information as we have it.
We will also give you notice of a date to deliver our petition in case you wish to join us.
We want an all inclusive reimbursement without discriminating against Adults with type 1 Diabetes and children / teens on insulin pumps.
It was put to minister Harris’s representative that we want to meet with him to present him with our petition. This was televised live
We will now wait for a date.....

Diabetes Ireland are in total support of what we are doing and we are consulting with them about any plans we make. They will be with us when we present our petition to Minister Harris.
I’m respectfully requesting that you support us by taking a membership with Diabetes Ireland, They are the first people we go to when things are wrong but very often last people we think to support.
Thank you in advance for your consideration
