Rosena Allin-Khan responds to Gov’t announcement of inquiry into mental health inpatient deaths in Essex.

Rosena Allin-Khan MP, Labour’s Shadow Mental Health Minister,responding to the Government’s announcement of an Independent Inquiry into mental health inpatient deaths in Essex, said: 

“Any inquiry must have the families of those died at its heart. They’ve been waiting years for answers and have lost faith in the system.

 
 “Families have been calling for a Statutory Public Inquiry to compel people to give evidence, and are disappointed that the Minister has refused to go this far.”
