The photo included with this update is ST Alabama a week after the mission described in this story, "9 SOG Recon men vs 10,000-man NVA division," which was recently posted on our website. Stories like this make it very clear why the casualty rates for SOG reconnaissance teams during the eight-year secret war fought across the fence in Laos, Cambodia and North Vietnam exceeded 100%.
