I am heading out to see Nabi in Athens so that you can hear from him in person. He has also made clear to us his real fears for his family in Afghanistan and the real risk to their lives from the Taliban.
We will be getting Nabi on film so that you can hear from him in person. We think that this case is too important to let go and it also brings to the forefront, the case of Afghan interpreters, people like Nabi, who have been let down in their hour of need.
Nabi will also be providing references given to him, of his work with our armed forces in places like Helmand and the positive statements made about his interpreting work that assisted our armed forces when they were in the field.
Watch this space and in the meantime, can you keep the pressure up and maybe write an e-mail to your MP regarding his case? You can find your local MP through this web-site and write to them through it.
Do ask your MP if they can write to the Secretary of State for Defence, The Rt Hon Gavin Williamson CBE MP.
I would like to personally thank you for standing with Nabi at this time who is alone on the streets of Athens. He knows that you are standing with him and that has given him hope. Thank you - Fiyaz Mughal
