The Domestic Abuse Public Consultation is now open...
So, we are still here in 2018 having campaigned tirelessly over a number of years to get the Serial Domestic Abuse and Stalker Perpetrator Register introduced. We've had an election, a new Prime Minister who agreed to personally look over dealings around domestic abuse, Ministers have come and gone in the Home Office, we have a new president in the United States of America, we are still dealing with Brexit and STILL more deaths have occurred, yet this important campaign keeps being overlooked, why? We are consistent.
Since we began campaigning other families have been utterly devastated by more deaths, yet the government even though it makes sense to OVER 147K of you, have still failed to make the connection between seriality and the outcome of undetected escalating patterns of abusive and violent behaviour.
It doesn't take a scientist to work it out that serial abusers by nature, go on to reoffend at alarming rates which is why I'm asking you to make sure you HAVE YOUR SAY...
The Domestic Abuse Bill Consultation is now open.
Please respond.
People assume laws just happen or someone else will deal with it, well NO.
WE must make a stand and show the Government that this is something we have been fighting for.
Not for us... we have already lost but for others however, we cannot sit by and watch more needless deaths and destruction.
We are compelled to make this change for YOU and YOUR families. There really should be no more excuses!
On completing your consultation submission please remember to include the need for a serial register for repeat and serial offenders of stalking and domestic violence. Currently they unbelievably are not tracked and monitored.
Please also include the urgent need for reform in ‘family’ court where perpetrators of abuse are using this process to legally abuse their victim using outdated court processes. Family and Criminal courts need to share information and act with the victim's best interests - not the perpetrators demands. They should also be opened to scrutiny, not media - scrutiny!
Please find links below to the government consultation on the Domestic Abuse Bill. To ensure we get this landmark legislation right we want to hear from ALL those who have been affected by abuse, from survivors, frontline professionals, charities, families, loved ones and the public, to gather views on how, together, we can best put a stop to domestic abuse once and for all.
The consultation is running until Thursday 31 May 2018 and has been designed to maximise public participation. You can complete the full consultation, or a shorter, easy-to-use version, both of which can be easily completed on a tablet or smart phone. The following links are now live:

Thank you for continuing to support this much needed change which will drive a shift in culture and allow the police to carry out their duties as opposed to dealing with incidents in isolation which minimises the impact of many offences which often lead to murder!
