We were given an official notice of deportation, again, but this time we were left with no choice but to sell everything leave our home in Sydney and relocate to Perth, where we had somewhere to stay. We booked tickets to leave Australia from here on the 12/04/2020. However, COVID-19 became increasingly worse and we were granted a 6 moth visa (expiring on the 7th of October).
We are now living in Perth, WA, were I am continuing my school with a Distance Education school from NSW. My worries right now are my exams. I expect to sit my first HSC exam on the 20th of October which is a few weeks after our visa expiry... I constantly question whether I'll make it or not? Will I be able to complete my HSC in Australia as well as make it into my dream University?
The most unfortunate thing the Immigration could do at this point is force us out even during these horrible and uncertain times where the entire world is a mess because of COVID-19. I'm certain any normal 17 year-old, like me, should not have to worry about things like this on top of their final high school examinations. I've already lost enough.
