Taller con Ocio de Ibiza/Workshop with Ibiza Leisure Association

Hi everyone, thank you for signing the petition and supporting this very important cause. After the closing parties, we followed up with a meeting with the Ibiza Leisure Association (Ocio de Ibiza) and, thanks to their collaboration, we were able to hold a workshop last week which was attended by around a dozen of their members, including nightclubs and beach clubs. In this, we presented the reasons why they need to reduce plastic pollution as a matter of urgency and move towards more circular models. We also presented and discussed alternatives. The association has committed to continue working to reduce the plastic footprint of its members and implement alternatives with a lower environmental impact. We will continue to follow up and will post further updates as we have them.

Hola a todos y a todas, gracias por firmar la petición y apoyar esta causa muy importante. Después de los closings, tuvimos una reunión con la Asociación de Ocio de Ibiza y, gracias a su colaboración, pudimos realizar un taller la semana pasada al que asistieron alrededor de una docena de sus miembros - entre ellos discotecas y beach clubs-. Les expusimos las razones por las que deben reducir la contaminación por plástico de forma urgente y avanzar hacia modelos más circulares. También presentamos y debatimos alternativas. La asociación se ha comprometido a seguir trabajando con sus miembros para reducir la huella de plástico e implementar alternativas de menor impacto ambiental. Daremos seguimiento y os mantendremos informados.
