we've had to put a hold on using it as we were suddenly warned that Shoalhaven Council is likely not to accept a petition from change.org!
Apparently that's because change.org doesn't collect email addresses, and Council likes to see either an email or a street address for each petitioner. 
SO FAR
we've collected almost a thousand signatures on our Council-approved paper petition, with another week to go before we have to round them all up and prepare them to be presented to Council at the Tues 11 Nov Council meeting. 
HERE'S HOPING
We're going to capture your names and print them out, and hope that Council will at least take them into account and acknowledge that another 195 people cared enough to sign online.
