A massive thank you to each every one of you who has signed our petition and left messages. We have been overwhelmed with the offers of support and we know how much this facility means to Yeovil, Somerset and the wider sporting community who visit every year, from all over the UK, and beyond.

The reason for starting this petition was to raise awareness, as this news came so suddenly and without warning. With approaching 10,000 signatures, there is no doubt that people are now very aware and concerned!

We know that final decisions about the future of the sports and leisure facilities have not yet been made by Somerset Council, but we couldn't stand by and not show the council just how vital this facility is to the community in Somerset and beyond.

Please keep sharing and if we could ask one further small favour, 

Somerset Council is currently consulting on its 2024/2025 Budget and are seeking views on spending cuts across Somerset. 

All views are welcome (even if you are not a Somerset resident) and it’s important to have your say on the issues that matter to you. 

The consultation closes 22nd January.  Please complete the consultation and add your thoughts about the future of the Recreation Centre at the end of the survey.
