Potential Beach Building - We Need Your Help!
Dear Swimmers
As you know we have been desperately trying to deal with the fallout from our unjust eviction from the Greenhill beach huts in Weymouth. We have never lost sight of the fact that swimmers of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities really do need a secure and safe place near the beach to change, store stuff, warm up and socialise. We are especially aware of the mental health benefits such a place can provide.

LONGER VERSION: Weymouth Town Council have been aware of our plight as a community ever since we lost the swim centre at Greenhill. Yesterday they publicly notified everyone of a vacant building on the beach in the town centre which they wish to make use of for the community. A number of councillors are very kindly supportive of the sea swimming community and its need for a home.

We still have our clever electronic web lock and could install it fairly easily and connect it to our website (once unmothballed) to allow swimmers to have their own PINs for access. We still have benches, chairs, a kettle and even the sign we had on the door of the old place which was hand carved by a founding member, Steve Petford.
