This news story aired tonight. From the opening sentence—"The push to save Fire-EMS Station 7 is picking up momentum"—it was all about you. Along with nearly 5,000 others, you made your voice heard. You said, loud and clear, that saving this landmark is important to you, and it's working! You're inspiring stories like this. You're inspiring City Council to consider new options. And you're inspiring me too. I recently moved back to Roanoke, my hometown, after living other places for 24 years. It was a big change, and I'd be lying if I didn't admit I was a little nervous. But everyone has been so welcoming. And seeing this surge of support for a cause that was considered "lost" just a week ago...well, that's blown me away. Thank you for speaking up for this historic station, and even though you didn't know you were doing it, thank you for welcoming me home.
