Over the Memorial Day weekend, a beloved mother swan was killed by a group of teenage friends who took her body home to be cooked and eaten by their friends and family. For more than a decade, the residents of Manlius had enjoyed watching Faye and her devoted companion, Manny, at Manlius Swan Pond. The teens took their babies and the police are not sure what they had planned for them. They are safe for now. In Defense of Animals is circulating a petition demanding justice for the beheading of this swan. Please sign and share!!! If these kids are not punished for their crime, then who knows what they may be capeable of doing in the future.

In Michigan, we are in the process of  writing a letter to ALL of our legislators and  validating signatures to go along with the letter, so our legislators will see that Michigan residents, their constituents, want the mute swan killings stopped once and for all.
