Someone I helped with a swan rescue a few years back phoned me today. She said she contacted Governor Snyder's office today to discuss a couple issues that were on her mind. Before she hung up, she mentioned the Mute Swan slaughter in Michigan. She said his associate fell silent. She seemed surprised and asked the girl if anyone else has ever called the Governor's office about their disgust of this slaughter. She said no one had ever called about the mute swans being killed. So, I am very pissed off right now. All I can think of is that she is new. So, I am asking everyone that reads and shares this post, to please contact the Governor's office and express your concerns about the Mute Swan slaughter. Also, if you could mentioned your disgust with our DNR and now their plans to put the Sand hill Crane on the slaughter block as well. 517-373-3400 is the number that was called and then she was transferred to the Governor's associate. The kids in this Country are taking a stand against politicians and guns. It's time that the people who enjoy our wildlife and are tired of government agencies killing it for profit to take a stand as well. Please, let's try and make a difference.
