We wanted to write a quick update. Drew called us a little while ago to let us know the prison is no longer on lockdown. This means he can come out of his cell for several hours a day and call us when he’s able. We will hopefully be able to visit him next week. The past two weeks have been particularly difficult for him, and for us. Not being able to talk to Drew and hear for ourselves how he was holding up added to our level of concern. It was wonderful to hear his voice, to hear that he is okay…relatively speaking. It’s deeply touching knowing that so many people, many of whom have never even met our son are praying for his safety; and that he will be pardoned so he can begin moving forward with his life. We appreciate your support by signing the petition, your comments, thoughts and prayers more than we will ever be able to express in words. One day soon we hope to post some really great news.
