Colorado is about to count caregivers. Help get it right by October 31.

Hi Caregivers and Caregiver Advocates:
Thank you to each and every one of the 737 of you who have signed.
This petition is about being heard at work. This week, the state is about to start hearing caregivers in a different place: Medicaid.
Starting in 2027, many adults on Medicaid will have to show 80 hours a month of work or other activity. Family caregivers are exempt, and Colorado's Medicaid agency has drafted a form to confirm who qualifies. It's broader than I expected. It recognizes help with shopping, cooking and driving, and it asks for no credentials.
But the paperwork matters. Starting in 2028, the federal rule says states must require documentation if it's reasonably available, even though the same rule admits most caregivers don't have any.
What you can do this week:
Read the form: https://hcpf.colorado.gov/sites/hcpf/files/HFC%20FINAL%20MVP%20Family%20Caregiver%20Verification%20Form%20New%20vs%20Renewal_A.pdf
Give feedback by Saturday, October 31: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScsEkOsIArkMYV_oLC1YfJRsSenpto5dq13VOdnjtK3XGDVlQ/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=117014690430312443521
