My Impala was fixed February 13th by the dealership using the aftermarket part 916-806 from dorman. I honestly don’t care what part they used as long as it worked. I’ve gotten feedback from others that Chevy has been authorized to use the aftermarket part in vehicles since the gm part is still not able to be produced for an undisclosed reason. For those of you waiting for your vehicle to be fixed, I would encourage you to talk to someone in charge at your dealership and ask them about using the aftermarket part to fix your car. I would also recommend that you tell them they need to give you a loaner vehicle until yours is fixed. Not only will this help to avoid doing further damage to your car, it will also put additional pressure on the dealership to get your car fixed since you are now costing them money every day that you keep their car. Good luck to you all! I took my car and traded it in the day it was fixed and I’m totally done with Chevy and GM! I’ll keep this going but it’s up to you guys to keep sharing it and getting more signatures.
