Today I reached out to Kyle Clark at 9NEWS Denver and submitted a short video explaining why I founded the Full Disclosure Act.
This movement was born from a simple question:
What happens when citizens cannot obtain meaningful adjudication, meaningful oversight, or meaningful accountability?
Over the last several years, I have pursued relief through Colorado trial courts, appellate courts, federal district courts, oversight agencies, legislative committees, and judicial complaint processes. What I found was not a lack of procedures. I found a lack of accountability.
Too often, citizens are given process without resolution, hearings without answers, and oversight systems that appear more focused on protecting institutions than correcting problems.
That experience led to the creation of the Full Disclosure Act.
The Full Disclosure Act seeks greater transparency, stronger ethics requirements, meaningful disclosure of potential conflicts and affiliations, and greater public accountability throughout government.
