To whom it may concern, 
My name is Gary Bunning, I am 55 years old married for 29 years and have spent most of my adult life working as a mentor, first in lives of young people and then moving to college age young adults and young married people. I first met Chad about 3 years ago at the prison facility in Airway Heights while visiting my brother who was an inmate there. Chad approached my brother and asked if I would be interested in become friends via email in a mentorship role. I accepted and we have been communicating back and forth for the last couple of years. Because I have been a missionary in The Republic of Moldova, I have not been in America long enough to get on Chad's visitor's list. We are now stateside and will be permanently. My wife and I are excited about the prospect of having a more "hands-on" relationship with Chad and Anita.
I know Chad to be a compassionate, hard working man who has decided to be someone different than who he has been in the past. There are some things you can fake and some you can't. I have learned to spot "fake" and cons over the last 30 plus years and I believe Chad is honest and true in his intentions to be a great man and husband to Anita! I am excited and committed to being a mentor in Chad's life to help him walk out, life out of prison. My wife and I will be happy to be mentors to them both as a couple. Chad and I have worked through many issues in our time together regarding his marriage and other challenges. I gave hard advice that he could have blown off but instead, I watched him respond by confronting "old thinking" and changing to healthier thinking. I love this man's heart to be a good man and I love his heart to serve his God.
I have met a lot of people trying to get out of their old life and old ways. No one can say for sure whether or not someone will be successful but I can say Chad is one of the ones I put my money behind to be a success story.
Chad along with Anita will need a strong support system when he is released and we are strongly committed to be a part of that.
