It breaks my heart to watch this video. Juan’s young son cries for the father he may never see again, a reminder that what separates us is not borders, but our humanity.

When power goes unchecked, humanity disappears.
We are all in danger when silence becomes policy.
Thanks to your support and ongoing attention, we have located Juan Antonio Rivera Aguiriano.
He is currently being held at the El Paso Processing Center after being transferred from “Alligator Alcatraz” in Florida shortly after his audio recording was released.
We’ve made meaningful progress since finding Juan.
Congresswoman Veronica Escobar’s office has acknowledged his case and confirmed that all proper steps are being followed.
Estrella del Paso, one of the most trusted nonprofit immigration law groups in Texas, has added Juan to their waiting list for legal representation.
Juan’s Master Hearing, originally scheduled for October 29, has been postponed to December 10, despite his request to leave.
Juan has already asked for Voluntary Return to Honduras multiple times.
Voluntary return is a humane and lawful process that allows someone to leave the United States willingly and reunite with their family.
Keeping him detained serves no purpose and only increases the cost to taxpayers.
Each person held in long-term immigration detention costs approximately $165 per day, or about $60,000 per year.
Sadly, during this time, Juan’s wife and four children made the difficult decision to return to Honduras for their safety.
They are struggling to rebuild their lives, holding on to faith and waiting for the day they can welcome Juan home.
If anyone would like to help Juan and his family through a humanitarian donation or other support, please reach out directly by email.
Your help will cover Juan’s phone calls and basic needs, allowing him to stay connected with his wife and children while he remains detained.
Due to Change.org policy, I can’t post financial links here, but I’ll share safe and direct ways to help the family once you contact me.

Juan’s story has touched hearts across party lines because no father should be forgotten after doing everything right.
Your continued support matters more than ever. Every share helps bring Juan one step closer to home.
