Hello All - 

Although Mayor Turner decided to move forward with 11th street, we are not giving up the fight!  We have made contact with our State Representatives, Governor Abbott and Marc Williams - Chairman of TXDOT. If you are not aware, TXDOT got involved and stopped a road diet for Broadway due to its classification of being a major thoroughfare.  However, TXDOT was over jurisdiction of Broadway and the City of Houston is technically over 11th street.

We need to continue to collect signatures for other areas that are in the plan for lane reductions.  These include:

Washington

Westheimer

Center

Kirby

Dunlavy

Sabine

Memorial

Almeda

Dallas

Bellfort

Buffalo Speedway

Alabama

Fairview

Tuam

We are hoping with the New Mayor, we can show the lack of support for the community and stop this from happening to other neighborhoods.
