Petition updateFix the Brown Mountain road in SE NSW with Federal fundingBROWN MOUNTAIN CAN BE RISKY FOR TRUCKS, TOO

Truckies are professionals, but conditions on the Brown Mountain road can test them. Most B-double trucks (two trailers) are banned on Brown Mountain which has 77 bends, 5 hairpins and just one brief overtaking lane. This B-double truck ban escalates freight and transport costs, increasing the cost of living for communities on the Sapphire Coast and Bega Valley. The FIX THE BROWN campaign calls on the NSW and Federal governments to at least take the first decision to upgrade the Brown Mountain road - or identify an alternative route - by funding an independent engineering options study.  YOU can help FIX THE BROWN by going online to sign and share our petition at fixthebrown.com
